In June 1986, Don Kennedy and Jack Lillis began our Firm’s practice under the name Kennedy & Lillis in temporary quarters at 50 Broadway in lower Manhattan. Charlie Schmidt joined Don and Jack as their partner later that month.

In October 1986, the Firm moved into its offices at 100 Maiden Lane.

In March 1992, Craig English joined the Firm. The practice continued under the Firm name of Kennedy Lillis Schmidt & English.

In June 2011, the Firm celebrated its 25th anniversary of serving the insurance, transportation and trading sectors.

In February 2022, the Firm moved to its present offices at 125 Maiden Lane.
